Cats were looking at a spot in the living room for a day, so I picked up a gift bag to see what's what and found this guy!

A slightly panicked call to local exotic pet store led to a referral to a Facebook group State of Texas Reptile Rescue. Joined and it only took a few minutes to post a pic and three volunteers to come out. Kent helped and easily rescued him. He's headed to a farm to help with rats.

I was hoping the video would pick up her purring, but alas I can't hear it. This 10wk old female cutie is available for adoption at The Cat Hospital of Austin 512-258-2024.

Should be fine 8'-10' deep w 6'+ more to go before cresting West bank. More for our side.

As part of Caraway Elemtary's Science Day, Central Texas Ballooning Association members setup balloons at the school both in the morning, and after school.

This deer fawn followed it's mom from a block away or so. It could barely walk as it seems to be a newborn, but it made the trip to our yard by the creek. Mom went to forage and this deer is being "vehwy vehwy quiet"

Born May 4th, 2010, this video was shot May 30th and he's just over 3 wks old, and if I understood the woman correctly, weighing in at 430 lbs. That's one dense kid. He looked to be about thigh-high for most adults.

All the clutter is my backlog of stuff that needs to get into Quickbooks.




TV today was the latest Daily Show with Peter Bergen discussing Osama bin Laden who didn't really 'get' email. Followed that with a clever online only show called 'Dirty Work' from Rides.tv ( http://rides.tv/watch/dirtywork/) that includes features such as texting or calling your own phone at key parts of the video to relay background information or key plot points. (We recommend).

Guess what I'm trying to say, is it's a new world media wise. It's more important that you put out something of quality out there, then control the means to convey it. (Here that Al Gore and CurrentTV? Get it on the web!) Comedy Central has figured out how to do this with advertising.

Woke up this morning to the cats all in full alert mode and looking up. I thought it was the return of Ceiling Cat again. (Yes he does exist, I've seen him on our roof looking in)

But as you can see, it turns out to be a baby owl working it's way from his/her nest up the tree down to the ground. May take a while. We called wildlife rescue and they said it's right where it needs to be.

Will keep an eye out for ceiling cat, however. Wanna give this little guy a chance.

Three baby owls sitting in a tree over my house. Actually shot this while standing on the roof, from about 20' away. 10' above the three is a momma/daddy owl that is about the same size. I think they're screech owls as I hear those often in the neighborhood, but can't positively identify.

There's a male house wren over my head making a lot of noise. He's aiming to keep his nest safe, I'm sure. Not sure if wren is pissed at me or the owls, but I'm pretty sure it's the owls.
