The United Nations General Assembly has discussed a major report on global climate issued by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).
Secretary-General António Guterres reiterated his call to action, underlying that “climate change is moving faster than our efforts to address it.” He said that it is important to tackle climate change with “much greater ambition.” He called on leaders attending the climate Summit in September to come with a plan instead of a speech.
He addressed the upcoming Climate Action Summit due to take place in September and urging Member States to come up with solutions.
